Maintenance Excellence

It is a great honor to be part of the construction of such a valuable Product for the Market, both for Industrial customers and Service Provider customers.

The Sequor MTC

The name MTC originated in 2019 at the SNEF Groupe global leadership meetings on the
Digital Transformation theme, where Sequor Directors Alpheu Cardoso and Diego Driemeier presented several success stories in France and the CEO of SNEF Groupe, Stéphane Corteel, seeing these results and the great know-how of our team, motivated us to develop a total maintenance control solution to boost and improve the lives of our customers! This is how Sequor Maintenance Total Control was born, our maintenance software, affectionately known as Sequor MTC!

Since then, we have sought to learn more and more. We maintain focus on market needs through research and collaborative immersions with many of our customers, which give us insights while we help them improve their processes, as well as with our partners who bring us new ideas. In this way, solutions were implemented and improved, making the Sequor MTC software a powerful ally for improving and increasing gains for any process. Greater asset availability is our focus!

The Sequor team has specialists with extensive experience in the area, who have worked in the management and execution of maintenance in multinational companies in various segments, from Energy Measurement, to the Automotive sector, through Service Provision and the Transformation Industry and Software, making Sequor's know-how a unique feature in the market.

SEQUOR MTC

How does the lack of maintenance planning affect the productivity and competitiveness of the industry?

A Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) came as the watershed for understanding the influence of maintenance the profitability of an operation. The availability of assets is essential for the flow of value in the supply chain, affecting everything from manufacturing to the delivery of the product or service to the end customer.

Long before any science about Processes or Maintenance, we heard from popular culture that “Prevention is better than Cure”, and isn’t this maxim true? So much so that since the Second Generation of Maintenance in the mid-1950s, starting in the USA and spreading and evolving in Japan within the Lean Philosophy, the concept of Preventive Maintenance emerged, becoming in 1970 the state of the art that we know as Productive Maintenance Total (TPM).

This philosophy brings the concept of Planning as one of the Pillars of Effectiveness in maintenance, directly relating the Availability of Machines with the Profitability of a productive operation. Since then, the understanding that Maintenance is essential for sustaining a business has become increasingly widespread, but, unfortunately, it is still not unanimous.

As consultants and solution developers, we still come across ineffective processes mainly due to serious planning flaws, where Corrective/Reactive intervention is the main approach. This ends up triggering classic waste already pointed out in the First Generation of maintenance (1940), such as:

• Movement - Not having the necessary resources at the exact time and place, resulting in loss of time and efficiency e.g.: Tools, Human Resources,Materials…
• Processing - Not having the planning of what and how to do it, generating losses in quality and reliability, leading us to the next waste;
• Correction - Without planning, “doing it right” the first time It's very difficult and this creates several problems, but mainly those that compromise the asset's performance over time.

Other topics are extremely relevant for an Excellent Maintenance department on the journey of Digital Transformation of Processes. Reliability and Asset Management are key!

The Concept of RCM - Reliability Centered Maintenance or Reliability Centered Maintenance according to standard NBR-5462, is understood as the percentage or probability of adequate functioning, within a given period, of machines, systems and/or items inserted in the production chain .

This monitoring is done through analysis of historical equipment performance data and its qualitative estimate of future functioning.

In this way, it is possible to determine, for example, what is the percentage chance of an Electric Motor operating, according to its specifications, in the next 10,000 hours.

When it comes to Reliability, it is essential to apply tools such as FMEA - Failure Mode Effects Analysis, so that equipment can be “exploded” into Functions, Systems, Components... and then be individually evaluated regarding their potential Failure Modes, Effects, Occurrence, Severity and Detection, generating a Risk Priority Index (NPR). The NPR is the basis for defining Priority and Criticality for the Maintenance Plan.

The discipline of Corporate Asset Management (EAM) software is an increasingly present reality in the daily lives of maintainers, as IIoT, AI and Cloud Computing technologies are constantly evolving at a rapid pace. which enables large-scale application. In this way, automation, data reception and generation of information in real time allow management with never before seen efficiency.

From managing an asset's life cycle and its daily performance, to Data Analytics and Advanced Device Configuration, Asset Performance Management (APM) allows Prediction and Prescription for Maintenance systems, bringing effectiveness and increase equipment availability.

We always highlight to our partners and customers that achieving this level of excellence depends much more on the maturity built and solidified during the journey, than on the simple investment and application of these advanced technologies.

Planning, Standardization, Prevention, Knowledge Base, Optimized Process, Event and Alarm Trigger Flow (Human Intelligence Applied to the Process), Prediction... are some of the topics that must be evaluated for maturity to define the next steps in the path of EAM and APM.

With years of practical experience in creating master software and maintenance management, with a focus on collaboration and research with Customers and Partners, Sequor brings a complete solution for Maintenance Planning and Execution with Mobility and Effectiveness, scaling I4.0 subjects through the Sequor Platform.

The Sequor MTC software provides, in addition to Planning and Prevention, the creation of a rich knowledge base that supports TPM pillars such as Training, Focused Improvement and Quality, since the anomalies found are treated as a Root Cause, Action Containment and Definitive Action, which can be related to new Service Orders to improve Execution, in addition to developing the Skills monitored in the Human Resources database registered in the system.

An example: Sequor Planner, as a Pillar ofPlanning/Prevention TPM consolidates all orders generated into a powerful tool, whether through the Recurrence Plan, or via the creation of individual orders. Enhancing your analyzes graphically and dynamically with functions such as Drag&Drop, batch release for Mobile Execution, fine adjustments of up to 15 minutes directly in the Calendar component and much more.

MTC as maintenance software has a great difference in Mobile Execution, which, in a clear and objective way, leads the Maintainer on an effective journey without waste, be it time, materials or environmental impacts.

Your Maintenance will have excellent results with Sequor MTC!

The Sequor MTC and the Maintenance Generations

Following the timeline of generations of maintenance from its conception as a process in the mid-1940s to the present day, where the focus is on Maintenance Excellence, we see many technological advances that guide us towards a very well-formed idea of Fifth Generation of Maintenance, where the results, for those who comply and mature with the journey, will clearly change the dynamics of the business in which these resilient and disciplined people are inserted.

The secret is self-diagnosis and understanding where you want to get to, understanding that the evolutions in Maintenance occurred with the maturation of Maintenance Engineering combined with business success and gradually, new ideas and technologies contribute to raising the level of where can we get there?

For example, talking about implementing Asset Management software with Artificial Intelligence without having a solid foundation in TPM and Management of Key Maintenance Indicators is a utopia, as it is the journey (Human Intelligence Applied to the Process) that gives the maturity to evolve in concepts and consequently elevate your process to the next generation.

Sequor MTC leads the Client on this journey, from productive HH management to Big Data Analytics with IIoT, Digital Twin and Asset Management, through the Sequor Platform that gradually and at the appropriate time with the ROI curve, introduces elements of Industry 4.0 and other tools in the context of Maintenance Management, in a harmonious, unified, scalable and optimized way without losses and migrations between numerous systems. Our solution is for everyone, for those who still use paper, electronic spreadsheets or even do not have a clear maintenance control system. Our team is prepared to implement and help all those who wish to have their entire operation controlled via maintenance and asset management software, count on us!
